Secondary Activities take only a few hours to accomplish and require less effort than Primary Activities. They may or may not require rolls to complete. You may do up to two as part of a Long Rest or one as part of Short Rest. They include, but are not limited to, the following.
Craft an Item: Create (or contribute value to) a single item. Details here.
On a success, your contribution towards the item is (1d6 x Proficiency Bonus) silver up to the items total value. Half of this value must be paid in silver to merchants selling materials or in collected materials.
Find/Meet an NPC: Set up and/or attend a meeting with an NPC. You may use a connection token, send correspondence, or visit a number of shops as part of this activity.
Investigate a Rumor: Look into the local gossip and rumors gaining additional leads and insights.Â
Self-Care: By spending time relaxing or pampering yourself you may gain advantage when recovering from wounds at the end of your long rest, recover from one level of exhaustion, or gain up to your maximum hit dice at the end of your long rest in leu of that provided by your lifestyle.
Repair: Repair an item with the proper tools. DC's will vary based on the items complexity.
Bond with Animals: Spending time with your pet, mount, or animal companion allows for a roll to increase your bonding level with that animal. (DC = 12 + Current Bonding Level)
Work a Gig: A small job of mostly unskilled labor in exchange for a number of silver equal to your proficiency bonus.
